This sci-fi-inspired knife is sleek, extremely modern, and comfortably lightweight. The Decibel’s slim, linear design is emphasized by dark matte-gray, titanium-carbo-nitride coating on both blade and handle. The dark-gray finish is offset by an aluminum pivot collar and backspacer, both anodized in bright blue.

The Decibel’s blade is quality 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. And even though the handle is stainless steel, too, the discreet Decibel weighs in at just 2.7 ounces. One thing that lightens the knife’s weight—and adds style—is the handle cutout. This “window” in the handle lets you look inside and reveals the Kershaw logo, cleverly tucked away on the inside of the back handle. The Kershaw Epistle has everything you need in a pocketknife and nothing you don’t. This good-looking minimalist design is sleek, slim, and very easy to carry. 

The 3-inch blade is made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel—a solid, all-around steel that’s also easy to re-sharpen when needed. The versatile drop-point blade shape handles most cutting tasks with ease. The blade is bead-blasted to produce a slightly darker blade finish that contrasts nicely with the lighter aluminum handle. 

The handle is lightweight and feels smooth and comfortable in your hand. Clear anodizing preserves the natural color of the aluminum. A custom pivot cap adds a touch of style and provides some additional handle texture. With its neutral two-tone coloring, the Epistle goes perfectly with whatever else you EDC.  

To get the knife down to an impressively light 2.1 ounces, Kershaw added several areas of weight relief. Much of the handle back features open construction to shed weight and provide for easy cleaning. A textured backspacer covers the rest of the handle. The single-position pocketclip also has two cutouts that make this pocketclip unique to the Epistle. The Epistle is a manual-opening knife. You can use the thumb stud to flick the blade open quickly, or treat it as a traditional pocketknife by simply moving the blade into position.

The Lightyear is an entry in the Kershaw Starter Series, designed as a slim, effective knife at an attractive price. The first thing users will notice about the Lightyear is its horn-like profile. Despite the handle’s slim design, it stays ergonomic in the hand for long periods of time. TWO-PIECE FRONT HANDLE SCALE ADDS INTEREST, KEEPS THE LOOK CLEAN

The Oblivion is prepared to obliterate any cutting task in its path. With its industrial look, this modern folder is bound to impress in both style and performance.

For style, the Oblivion combines stainless steel and glass-filled nylon in a two-piece front scale—not easy to do. What’s more, since the Oblivion opens with SpeedSafe assisted opening, there has to be a place for the SpeedSafe mechanism to go. Usually, it’s positioned in a small, internal hollow in the handle. But to date, we had only placed that mechanism in single-material handle scales. With the Oblivion, for the first time, we integrated SpeedSafe into a two-piece front scale. The result is a unique “split profile” look, plus smooth, one-handed SpeedSafe opening.

The Oblivion’s substantial 3.5-inch blade of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel offers top performance, too. This quality steel takes a sharp edge and re-sharpens easily when needed. And while the Oblivion’s cutting edge is fairly straight, it also has enough belly to make it a reliable multi-tasking blade. The angular handle has been smoothed for a comfortable grip and a small finger contour enhances grip even more.

A sturdy frame lock secures the blade open for safe use. We also added an over-travel stop to keep the lock from moving too far—or “over traveling”—when closing. The Oblivion also features a reversible deep-carry pocketclip, or left- or right-handed carry. A large, trapezoid-shaped lanyard hole adds to the aesthetics and makes it easy to secure a lanyard to customize your knife.

Based on the Emerson Rendezvous, the CQC-11K D2 now features D2 blade steel. This high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel is a great choice for a knife blade, offering good edge retention and hardness, while being more corrosion resistant than other high-carbon steels. The Rendezvous was originally designed as a hunting knife, but the CQC-11K D2 is equally adept at survival, camping, and bushcrafting—or for just about any outdoor activity. 

The CQC-11K D2’s big 3.5-inch blade offers plenty of belly for skinning and other game processing, as well as superior slicing for a wide variety of in-camp tasks. For a secure and comfortable grip, the CQC-11K D2 has a G10 front scale with stainless steel back and is Emerson-contoured to fit the hand precisely. This “XL” Kershaw-Emerson now comes with D2 blade steel. D2, a high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel, is a knifemaker favorite and offers good edge retention and hardness, as well as being more corrosion resistant that other high-carbon steels.

The CQC-4KXL D2’s big, useful blade comes in at just under 4 inches. For a secure and comfortable grip, the knife has a G10 front scale and steel back. A sturdy frame lock secures the blade open during use and releases easily to close. Of course the CQC-4KXL D2 features the patented Emerson Wave Shaped Feature®. A small wave-shaped tab on the top of the blade is built to catch on the pocket seam, opening the knife as it comes out of your pocket. This instant-open feature is a favorite among military, rescue, and law enforcement knife users. Alternatively, you could just use the built-in thumb disk to open the CQC-4KXL D2 manually.
